"Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up".

— Brené Brown

Welcome! I’m Tierney (she/her), here to support you on your path toward healing, connection, and meaningful change.

Starting therapy, or coming back to it, takes courage. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, in transition, or simply unsure of where to begin, showing up is a powerful step. Healing doesn’t always come all at once. It often unfolds slowly, through small, intentional shifts. I hold deep respect for the vulnerability it takes to begin that process, and I bring a grounded, down-to-earth presence to the work we’ll do together, with warmth, curiosity, and even a little humor when it helps.

Many of the people I work with come to therapy carrying the weight of anxiety, trauma, identity questions, grief, or disconnection from themselves, from others, or from the life they want to be living. Our work together offers space to slow down, explore what's feeling hard or unclear, and reconnect with your values, your relationships, and yourself.

My personal experiences with therapy deeply shaped the way I understand healing - not as a one-size-fits-all solution, but as an ongoing process of learning to meet ourselves with more compassion and a process that looks different for everyone. This journey has led me to a holistic, integrative, approach to care - one that honors the mind, body, and relationships, and that creates space for each person’s unique path forward.

I’m originally from New Jersey, spent time living in Los Angeles and New York, and now offer telehealth therapy to clients across New York and New Jersey, making it easier to access support in a way that fits into your life.

Experience

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. I’ve worked across a range of settings, including community mental health clinics, residential substance use treatment programs, school-based services, a health tech startup, and private practice. Most recently, I served as Program Director for an LGBTQ+ youth and family support initiative — leading clinical services, advocacy efforts, and community education focused on increasing access to affirming care. These diverse roles have shaped a trauma-informed, affirming, and relational approach to care, integrating evidence-based practices with humility and cultural awareness.

My clinical focus includes working with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, substance use, parenting, and life transitions. I also have extensive experience supporting the perinatal and postpartum population, and am passionate about holding space for parents and caregivers during seasons of change and challenge.

At the heart of my work is a belief in whole-person care — an approach that integrates mind, body, and relationships. I draw from a range of modalities, including relational, psychodynamic, and somatic practices, to support insight, connection, and nervous system regulation. My goal is to offer care that is responsive, collaborative, and grounded in respect for your lived experience.
