FAQs
How do I get started?
You can complete the contact form or directly schedule a free 15-minute consultation here. This is a chance to talk briefly about what you're looking for and see if working together feels like a good fit.
What if we’re not a good fit?
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process, and not every therapist is the right match for every person. That’s completely okay.
If at any point you feel that our work together isn’t quite what you need, I welcome that conversation with openness and zero judgment. My priority is that you feel supported, safe, and truly seen in your therapeutic journey.
If it turns out we’re not the right fit, I’m happy to offer referrals to trusted colleagues who might be a better match for your needs, preferences, or goals. You deserve care that feels aligned and I’m here to help you find it.
What is your fee?
My standard fees for self-pay are as follows:
Individual therapy - $200 per 50-minute session
Couples therapy - $250 per 60-minute session
Family therapy - Inquire directly
If cost is a barrier, I offer a I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots — please reach out to discuss availability.
In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected costs of your care. Click here to learn more.
Do you take insurance?
I partner with Headway, a platform that helps manage billing and insurance for therapy services. Through Headway, I’m able to accept a number of insurance plans, including:
Aetna
UnitedHealthcare
Cigna
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield New York (formerly Empire)
If I am out-of-network, I can provide a monthly superbill (detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan. Every insurance policy is different, so I recommend calling your provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
What can I expect in the first session?
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping for. There’s no pressure to share everything right away - we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether you may feel comfortable working with me. Therapy works best when it’s a good fit for everyone.
How long will therapy take?
Everyone’s journey is different. Some clients come for a few months to work through a specific issue, while others choose to stay in therapy longer for ongoing support and deeper exploration. We’ll regularly check in about your goals and what feels most supportive for you.
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
I currently offer virtual sessions only.
Good Faith Estimate
In compliance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the cost of therapy services. This estimate provides a clear outline of expected charges, so you can make informed choices about your care.
While actual costs may vary depending on your individual needs and treatment goals, the Good Faith Estimate is designed to promote transparency and support your planning process.
